Lehigh Valley Steelhawks News Release
Allentown, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (0-11) head to Greensboro, NC to take on the Cobras (7-4) in round three of a four game series. The game is slated for Saturday night, July 14th, 7:00pm. Fans can steam the game live via YouTube.
Lehigh Valley is still looking for their first win but have started putting more pieces together. Their losses stem mostly from their own mistakes and if they can limit those, will give themselves a chance late in games. A slate of season ending injuries will mean bringing in more fresh players, but the recently added WR Darryl Boggan (2 catches for 20 yds, 1 td) and DB Savion Brown (2 games: 11.5 tackles, 1 int, 1 pbu, 1 tfl) have already made a difference and will only continue to improve as they adapt to the system.
The Cobras started their season off hot, winning seven of their first nine, but have dropped the last two games. They are led by veteran QB Charles McCullum. Receivers Jordan Jolly and Phillip Barnett have the experience, but rookie Tyron Laughinghouse (21 tds) has been the standout.
If the 'Hawks can limit their big mistakes, they can make it a game in Carolina.
Lehigh Valley is on the road for another week before returning to the 'Hawks Nest on Saturday, July 28th for their final home game of 2018.
Single game tickets can be bought online at pplcenter.com or at the door on game day. Tickets start as low as $11.50. Call 610-224-4625 to reserve your seats. All Steelhawks games are played on Embassy Bank Field inside the PPL Center.
