The Orlando Solar Bears and Gwinnett Gladiators come together for the first time, with the Solar Bears holding a one point lead over Gwinnett for the top spot in the South Division. Orlando began the road trip with a 2-1 shootout victory over South Carolina on Tuesday night. The Gladiators are returning home from a five game road trip in Greenville, Fort Wayne, and Evansville, that saw Gwinnett win four of their five games.

The Solar Bears have collected at least one point in the standings for five straight games (4-0-0-1)... C Ryan Cruthers, LW Nick Petersen, and C Mathew Sisca all saw their six game point streaks snapped on Tuesday. Petersen leads the ECHL with 14 points... F Ryan Ginand's first period assist stretched his point streak to six games (1 goal, 7 assists)... Including tonight's game, the Solar Bears play three straight games in three days in three separate cities.

G Mike Lee earned ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors after posting a 2-1-0 record, one shutout, 1.00 GAA, and .955 save percentage last week... F Casey Pierro-Zabotel leads the ECHL with 10 assists... F Doug Jones leads all rookies with five goals and 10 points.
