Titans to Assist Hurricane Sandy Victims

November 1, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Trenton Titans News Release

Trenton, NJ - The Trenton Titans, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, were just as shocked and saddened as many across the United States, at the devastation left behind after Hurricane Sandy rocked the Northeast Corridor. The grief felt was only magnified as not only our home state, but its citizens and our fans, were some of the hardest hit.

Millions across the Tri-state area have traveled through the Garden State to enjoy part of their summer at many of the fantastic beaches that dot the Jersey landscape, taking home memories that will last a lifetime...memories that now have been scattered down the shoreline and washed into the Atlantic Ocean.

Countless thousands have been displaced with this disaster. And though it will take a long time to rebuild and put their lives back together...the time to help that effort starts now!

That is why the Titans are asking Titans Nation to rise as one and take action in this time of need. While the effort won't happen overnight, it can start tonight. That is why the Titans are asking for donations to be brought to the Sun National Bank Center prior to Friday night's game with the Reading Royals at 7:05 pm. Anyone bringing a case of water to Gates A or C at the SNBC, will be given a free ticket for that night's game.

The Titans will be accepting other items for donation as well (canned goods, gift cards, clothing - baby through adult, jackets, socks, underwear, over the counter medications, band-aids, etc). Cash donations will be accepted also. The Titans will take all the donations and deliver them on Saturday directly to those who have been impacted along the New Jersey coast.

The time is now to help...and the men and women of Titans Nation - the best fans in the ECHL - are just the right people to lead the way. While many have been impacted, our friends to the east have been devastated. The Nation is ready to answer the call - and we ask all our friends in Trenton and the surrounding areas to join in the effort.
