Orlando heads back out on the road tonight, starting the three-game trip against the Solar Bears vs. GwinnettGwinnett Gladiators. The Solar Bears returned home after a six-game road trip last weekend, sweeping the Wheeling Nailers in a three-game set. Orlando won the first contest 7-2, and then edged out the Nailers with a 3-2 overtime win on Saturday before taking a 2-1 shootout victory on Sunday. Gwinnett has struggled lately, falling in five of their last six games. They have been outscored 22-12 during that span. Gwinnett has had Orlando's number so far this season, has the Solar Bears have posted a 0-5-1-0 record against the Gladiators.
Solar Bears Notes:
C Ryan Cruthers has scored the game-tying goal to force overtime in back-to-back games. He also scored his 100th and 101st professional goals last weekend... After stopping all five shots in a shootout against the Wheeling Nailers on Monday, G John Curry has now turned aside 28 of the 32 shootout shots he has faced... After this road trip, the Solar Bears will play 13 of their next 14 games on home ice... G John Curry was named the ECHL Goalie of the Week on Tuesday... The Solar Bears officially notified the ECHL during the league meetings held earlier this week of their intention to place a bid to host the 2015 ECHL All-Star Game. They will submit their bid during the Annual League Meetings in June, 2013... Forward C.J. Severyn scored a goal and added an assist to help the ECHL All-Stars defeat the Colorado Eagles 7-3 on Wednesday night... G Mike Brodeur remains on the 21-day IR... D Sean Lorenz was transferred from the reserve to the 21-day IR earlier this week... D Jesse Dudas remains on the 21-day IR... F Mike Sgroi was released yesterday... G Bretton Lindoff was released today... D Corbin Baldwin, LW Chris Lawrence, and F Ryan Ginand are all currently on the 21-day IR but made the road trip.

F Casey Pierro-Zabotel is 10th in the league with 43 points... F Doug Jones is second in the league with 155 shots. He is tied for the ECHL lead among rookies with 35 points... G Mike Lee is second with a 2.13 GAA... He is third with a .918 save percentage... D Sacha Guimond is second among rookies with six power play goals. He is second among ECHL defensemen with 28 points... The Gladiators are 14-5-2 in one goal games... D Dallas Jackson is fourth among defensemen with 95 shots... The Gladiators are 21st on the power play at 14.4 percent (27-for-188) and 4th on the penalty kill at 85.0 percent (147-for-173)... F Casey Pierro-Zabotel leads the Gladiators in assists (32) and points (43), F Doug Jones leads the team in goals (17).

Orlando will face Greenville again during a 7:00 p.m. contest on Friday, February 1, and then will raise the 2001 Turner Cup Championship Banner on Saturday, February 2, at 7:00 p.m. against the Trenton Titans.
