TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
Tonight's game is the sixth time the Ontario Reign and the Victoria Salmon Kings will face-off in the 2008-2009 season. The Reign hold a 2-3-0-0 record against the Salmon Kings, with the Reign picking up the win, 5-3, in the last match on February 18 at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Center Jon Francisco leads the Reign in points against the Salmon Kings with 5 (1g, 4a). Center Olivier Filion (2g, 5a) and right wing Wes Goldie (5g, 2a) lead the Salmon Kings in points against the Reign with 7 each. The teams are scheduled to meet for four more games this season, with all four games scheduled to be played at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC.
Ontario currently ranks first in the Pacific Division standings, posting an overall record of 29-20-3-1 (62 points), four points ahead of the Las Vegas Wranglers (58 points) for second. The Reign is 16-10-2-0 in home games and 13-10-1-1 on the road. Victoria ranks first place in the West Division standings, with an overall record of 31-19-2-4 (68 points).
