TONIGHT:
The Ontario Reign (26-6-2-3) head to Bakersfield to play the middle game of their 11-game season series against the Condors (15-17-1-2). The Reign have held on to their number one spot in the league rankings as the Condors have continued to climb in the standings with 10 points in the eight games they have played in 2014.
EXTRA FRAMES:
Ontario leads the league with 15 overtime appearances so far this season; Bakersfield has seen only four, the fewest in the league. The three most recent meetings between the Reign and Condors have been decided by just one goal - the most recent game, played on January 10, went to overtime and Ontario took it 3-2. The Reign have earned 25 points when going to overtime - 11 points more than the next Western Conference team, Stockton.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN...
Ontario have a league-leading 32 road points, 15-2-0-2 record, for a .842 win percentage when playing away from Citizens Business Bank Arena. The Condors' 8-7-0-1 record ranks 17th, with 17 points, when playing at Rabobank Arena.
GOALIE SHUFFLE:
The Condors have yet to shoot against any Reign goalie but Michael Hutchinson this season. Earlier this month, Hutchinson was recalled to the St. John's IceCaps (AHL) by the Winnipeg Jets (NHL) and current Reign goaltender Jussi Olkinuora took his spot after a stint with the IceCaps. Inline goalie Troy Redmann is Ontario's second goaltender. The Reign have played against Karpowich, Pickard, and Brossoit. Of the three, only Brossoit remains on the Condors roster, with fellow Edmonton Oilers prospect, Tyler Bunz.

The Reign will travel to Bakersfield on Sunday, Jan. 19 to face the Condors for a 4 p.m. puck drop. The team returns to Citizens Business Bank Arena on Friday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. to face the Stockton Thunder for their ninth game game of the season. The Thunder has won the last two meetings between these two clubs after the Reign took control of the series winning the first six.
