Alaska Aces News Release

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Olivier Roy tied a career high with his fourth shutout of the season and the Alaska Aces improved their unbeaten streak in regulation to eight straight games in a 6-0 blowout victory over the Las Vegas Wranglers before 5,927 fans at Sullivan Arena on Saturday.

Brendan Connolly led the Aces offense with four assists and a +4 rating while Roy helped the Aces notch their ninth shutout of the season, one shy of the club record since entering ECHL play in 2003-04.

As their first power play expired, the Aces got on the board when Peter Sivak took James Martin's feed at the right circle and hammered a one timer past Travis Fullerton's glove for his 13th goal with 2:15 left in the first period.

Roy faced his sternest test on nine shots in the first period and turned them away, which included Matt Tassone's deflection at the left post that caught Roy's blocker on a half-open net bid.

The Aces blew the game open with four goals in the second period and chased starter Travis Fullerton in the process. Zach Davies earned his first of back to back goals at 3:40 with a wrister from the blueline that caromed into the net off Greg Coburn. Davies then darted to the goal mouth and finished Mathew Sisca's saucer feed past Fullerton's blocker for a 3-0 edge at 9:29.

Sisca pumped in his 11th goal of the season with 8:59 left, finishing Connolly's feed at the goal mouth from the right corner and Fullerton was lifted for O'Keefe. Nick Mazzolini greeted him with a wrister under the crossbar with 54 seconds left in the second period for his 11th goal in the period.

O'Keefe stopped a wraparound bid by Drew MacKenzie early in the third period, but Eli Zuck crashed the net for the rebound goal at 2:55 for a 6-0 bulge.

Fullerton took the loss with 17 stops while O'Keefe, who was pulled for Fullerton in Wednesday's series opener, made 13 saves.
