TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (33-13-2-3) will face off against their biggest rival in the Western Conference, the Alaska Aces (32-14-2-1) who rank number one and two, respectively, in the conference and in the league. These two teams have been a great match as the Reign has alternated wins with the Aces through their first five games for a Reign advantage of 3-2-0-0. These teams have both scored 13 goals on the other through the season and each have earned a shutout with a 3-0 score.

ACES IN THEIR POCKET:

Alaska has two of the league's top scorers with Peter Sivak (20g, 39a) and Nick Mazzolini (18g, 29a). Ontario ended Sivak's eight-game point streak in their first meeting in their second meeting of the series on Feb. 16. The Reign have seen a wide range of scorers with eight players with at least three points in the past five games.

STUCK AT TWO:

Both the Reign and the Aces have a pattern of losing no more than two games in a row. However, each team has lost three straight games just one time this season. Alaska lost their third consecutive game from Nov. 27 - Dec. 4; Ontario has three losses in a row from Feb. 5 - Feb. 8. Alaska's 3-0 shutout loss to Bakersfield puts their current streak at 0-2-0-0 and the Reign are hoping to push them to another three-game losing streak tonight.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN:

This seven-game road trip matches the team's longest span away from Citizens Business Bank Arena of the season. Ontario boasts the league's best road record of 18-5-0-2 for 38 points. The Reign have the second highest road power play of the league with a 20% successful conversion rate, and their five short-handed goals on the road ties for second in the league. Ontario has yet to allow a short-handed goal while on the road.
