
Stingrays Receive Forward Nick Larson from Bridgeport

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Spencer Carbery announced today that forward Nick Larson has been assigned to the team from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Larson, 24, appeared in 15 games with the Tigers' ECHL affiliate, the Stockton Thunder, this season scoring three goals and three assists for six points. In Bridgeport, the Apple Valley, Minnesota, native added six points (four goals, two assists) in 17 matchups. A rookie this season, Larson attended Notre Dame for four years skating alongside current Stingrays forward Patrick Gaul and totaled 47 points (25 goals, 22 assists) in 152 games. In 2008, he was selected by the Calgary Flames in the fourth round (108 overall) of the National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft.
