Las Vegas - With 0.3 seconds remaining in the game, Colorado's Mark Nemec broke a 2-2 tie with a snap shot from long range to give the Eagles a 3-2 win. Nemec finished with two points on the night (1g, 1a) while the defeat dropped the Wranglers to 12-31-4-2 on the year.

Once again it was the Wranglers jumping on the scoreboard first, a feat they've accomplished now five times in the last six games. This time it was Robbie Smith at the 16:01 mark punching in his fourth of the year and second in as many games, assisted by Adam Hughesman (14) and Anthony Perdicaro (7). For Hughesman, who had a goal and an assist in Sunday's 3-1 victory over the Eagles, the helper gives him now seven points in his last eight games (2g, 5a). Despite being outshot 8-6 in the period, the Wranglers took the 1-0 lead with them into the first intermission.

Colorado would answer back however early in the second frame as Kyle Kraemer beat Wranglers' goaltender Mitch O'Keefe for his 14th of the season, assisted by Kyle Ostrow (20) and Nemec (11). The score, which came 5:20 into the period and tied the game up 1-1, was just Kraemer's second goal since being acquired from the Ontario Reign via trade back on Feb. 2.

Hughesman would put the Wranglers back on top just 1:53 into the third period with his team-leading 15th of the year and second point of the night, giving him four points in his last four games (2g, 2a). Assists on the score went to Chris Francis (19) and Ryan Forgaard (1), his first professional point since wrapping up his career at Union College last year. Kraemer (15) would bury his second of the night, however, with 12:29 to go in the period, assisted by Jesse Mychan (6) to tie the game up once more. With time winding down and just 0.3 left on the clock, Nemec then won the game for the Eagles with his third goal of the season and second point of the night, assisted by Brock Nixon (5) and Arthur Bidwell (8).

Next up, the Wranglers will travel to Bakersfield to take on the Condors on Saturday, Feb. 22 in at 7:05pm.
