Notes:

What a Moment: Aces infielder Kevin Cron made his MLB debut Friday night against the San Francisco Giants with a pinch-hit strikeout in the 8th inning. The strikeout does not take away the special moment. Aces manager Chris Cron was the first person to tell his son the news about the call up. "May have shed a couple of tears, it was awesome," Kevin told Fox Sports Arizona about the experience with his father. Chris Cron was in attendance to watch Kevin's debut. Kevin is in the starting lineup today batting fifth and playing first base. Kevin also has a brother, C.J., who plays for the Minnesota Twins.

Big League Aces: The same day Kevin Cron, Ildemaro Vargas, and Tim Locastro were on the Arizona Diamondbacks 25-man roster, the squad exploded for 18 runs in a win. Coincidence? We think not... Both Vargas and Locastro had big offensive nights. Vargas went 5-for-6 at the dish with a HR, three runs scored, and two RBIs. TimmyLo went 1-for-3 with three HBP, a run scored, and 2 RBIs. Kevin Cron struck out in his only at-bat, a pinch-hit appearance in the 8th inning. The D-backs had never scored 18 runs in a game on the road until Friday. Also, the D-backs became the first MLB team to have six consecutive multi-run innings in a game since 7/27/2000. That team...also the D-backs.

Show Time: Aces right-handed pitcher Taylor Clarke was officially recalled by the Arizona Diamondbacks prior to tonight's game. He is slated to start today for the D-backs against the San Francisco Giants with first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m. PT. He allowed two earned runs over six innings in loss during his first MLB start on May 7 against Tampa Bay. He picked up a three inning save on his Major League debut on April 20 against the Chicago Cubs.
