The Erie SeaWolves return to UPMC Park for a doubleheader against the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates)...The SeaWolves played their worst defensive game of the season in the 10-2 loss.....Erie racked up five errors in the loss for the first time since April 12, 2017...Sergio Alcantara cracked a three-hit game for the SeaWolves....Liarvis Breto has now lost in consecutive starts for Erie after surrendering three runs on eight hits in the first six innings, while striking out five....The Wolves left 10 runners on base and were 2-for-8 with runners in scoring position...The SeaWolves have now dropped a game back in the race for the Western Division, and currently sit at 6.5 games behind the Curve for a playoff spot...Erie shuffled the rotation, giving Alfred Gutierrez a chance to make his first AA start for Erie today....A.J. Ladwig will make his first start for Erie in 2018 today after beginning the season with Toledo...In 2017, Ladwig recorded a 7-6 record with a 5.16 ERA in 21 games with Erie before being promoted to Toledo at the end of the season....Alfred Gutierrez takes the mound for Erie in game two to make his first AA start...The righty earned a 1-3 record with Lakeland but sported a 2.44 ERA in 21 games....Cam Vieaux will make his second start against Erie today while Scooter Hightower will make his second AA appearance and his first AA start for Altoona.
