*** Att Header - ASCII After a 1-0 midweek road loss in Portland, Sounders FC (6-3-3, 21 points) travels to face the LA Galaxy (4-5-3, 15 points) on Sunday evening at Dignity Health Sports Park (7:30 p.m. PT / JOEtv, Amazon Prime Video, 1090 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Sunday marks the first meeting of the season between the two sides and the 39th matchup across all competitions since 2009, with the Galaxy leading the series 15-13-10.

Seattle is currently tied with Portland atop the Western Conference with 21 points, with one game in hand on the Timbers. Prior to Sounders FC's loss on Wednesday in Portland, the Rave Green had won its previous two matches against San Jose and LAFC by a combined score of 10-1. Brian Schmetzer will be without his leading scorer RaÃÂºl RuidÃÂaz tomorrow, after the Peruvian was suspended for one match due to violent conduct in the match in Portland.
