TONIGHT'S GAME: Louisville will look to stave off the sweep tonight in the series finale against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. After sitting through a 97-minute rain delay last night, the Pigs topped the Bats by a 2-1 score, the second straight one-run loss for Louisville. Right-hander Jesus Reyes, who started the Bats' last victory on August 2 vs. Toledo, will take the mound as he looks to extend his scoreless innings streak.

AGAINST LEHIGH VALLEY: With their most recent loss, the Bats are just 1-9 in their last 10 games at Coca-Cola Park since the beginning of the 2017 season, in danger of being swept at Lehigh Valley for the second time in 3 seasons. Louisville has dropped back-to-back one-run games against the IronPigs, something they have not done against the same opponent since losing 5 straight one-run games to Indianapolis earlier this season from May 21-June 4.

NEVER DONE WITH ONE-RUN: The Bats played in their second straight one-run game, falling to 13-27 (.325) in games decided by one run this season. The 40 games lead the International League, with Indianapolis (39) being the next-closest club. LOU played 37 one-run games all of last season, finishing with a 16-21 (.432) record. LOU last played 40+ one-run games in 2016, when they went 25-18 (.625).

TAKE ON ME: Louisville recorded just one hit on Wednesday, a Christian Colon single in the fourth inning. Before last night, the fewest hits the Bats collected in a game was 2, done twice and most recently on April 21 at Indianapolis. It was the first time LOU recorded just one hit in a game since August 13, 2018 at Gwinnett. In that contest, the Stripers defeated the Bats 6-0 behind 7.0 one-hit innings from Kyle Wright. Catcher Tim Federowicz accounted for LOU's lone hit, a fifth inning single.

OVER A DAY OF DELAYS: Louisville and Lehigh Valley experienced a 1-hour, 37-minute rain delay before first pitch last night. It was the 20th different game that the Bats have experienced a delay, surpassing the 24-hour mark in terms of total delay time, now at 1,467 minutes.

Season # of Games in Delay Total Delay Time

2018 14 (7 home, 7 away) 11 hours, 25 minutes

2019 20 (9 home, 11 away) 24 hours, 27 minutes

This season has also included Louisville's second-longest delay in franchise history, a 3-hour, 53-minute delay on June 8 at Charlotte.

ON PACE TO SET TEAM HR RECORD: Louisville has hit 149 home runs through 115 games, on pace for 181 home runs, which would easily surpass the current club record of 166 homers hit by the 1999 RiverBats. Last season, LOU finished with 113 homers in 137 games. With its next homer, LOU would have its fifth season with 150+ home runs in franchise history, and first since the 2010 Bats finished with 160.

A COUPLE OF FIRSTS: Center fielder Jose Siri recorded his first career Triple-A stolen base last night in his fifth game with Louisville. Shortstop Alfredo Rodriguez, who made his Triple-A debut last night, recorded Louisville's only RBI of the game when his groundout scored Siri. Rodriguez is the 62nd different player to appear in a Louisville uniform this season, with the Bats now 6 away from matching their 68 players during the 2018 season.

GLASS HALF FULL: Despite their recent struggles after dropping a fourth straight game, the Bats are still above .500 (14-12) since the All-Star break, and 19-16 in their last 35 games since June 29. Louisville rattled off a season-high 4-game winning streak from July 26-29, and has had 2 more separate 3-game winning streaks since the All-Star break, from July 17-19 and July 31-August 2.
