Dallas Sidekicks News Release
(ALLEN, TEXAS) - The Dallas Sidekicks play their first matchup against their old rivals the Tacoma Stars on Sunday, Jan 5th, 2020 at 3PM at the Allen Event Center. The game will be a Sunday Funday presented by Nue Vodka. Be sure to come out and enjoy the Nue Vodka Bloody Mary Bar.
The Stars are currently 7th in the Western Conference with the Sidekicks being behind them at 8th. The Stars are on a four-game losing streak after losing to the Kansas City Comets on Dec 28th on the road but get a good rest before their next matchup. They head to Texas on January 4th for back-to-back games on the road. The Stars will take on the Outlaws on Jan 4thand then head to the Allen Event Center to take on the Sidekicks. The Stars and Sidekicks have a lot of history including being huge rivals in the MISL and now consistently playing each other multiple times in a season in the MASL. The Sidekicks beat the Stars once last season and it was in an away game on February 24th. The Stars have beaten the Sidekicks twice in three games last season and the Sidekicks look to turn that around this season. The Stars are led by head coach and player Nick Perera, who is the captain of the United States Beach Soccer Team.
