
Lancers Will Feel the Heat Again vs. Harrisburg at the Dome Arena Saturday Night

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - For the fifth time this season, the Rochester Lancers and Harrisburg Heat will tussle in a Major Arena Soccer League game, at the Dome Arena on Saturday night.
The contest starts at 7:30 p.m., not the usual the 7 p.m. kickoff as the Lancers will give fans an opportunity to watch the end of the Buffalo Bills' playoff game.
The Lancers (0-7) are coming off a 17-4 home defeat to the first-place Florida Tropics on Friday night. Tim Crawford and Daniel Reger recorded their first goals of the season and Alex Harling and Anthony Rozzano added scores.
Rozzano leads Rochester with three goals and four assists, followed by Jeremy Ortiz (three goals, one assist). Matt D'Amico, Rafa Godoi and Michael Cunningham have two goals apiece.
Harrisburg (4-2) leads the series, 4-0.
Midfielder Dom Francis has paced the Heat with 13 goals and two assists in six games, 10 scores coming against Rochester. Forward J.J. Gibson was next with two goals and six assists, followed by Daniel Villela, who has three goals and four assists. Former Lancers and Brighton High School goalkeeper Will Banahene (2-0, 3.20 goals-against average) has split time with Jesus Molina (2-2, 5.43 GAA) in goal.
In the most recent meeting between the teams, the Heat posted a 10-5 win at the Dome Arena on Dec. 27. Francis scored twice. Matt Braem and Elton de Oliveira added two goals each. Diego Mayanga, Gary Boughton, Godoi, Ortiz and D'Amico found the net for the Lancers, who recorded a season-high five goals. Rozzano finished with two assists.
After Saturday's game, the Lancers will get next weekend off before resuming MASL play the Heat at the Farm Show in Harrisburg, Pa. on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 5:05 p.m.
They return home to the Dome Arena for back-to-back contests later this month. Rochester will host the Baltimore Blast in Henrietta, N.Y. on Friday, Jan. 31 as the team will induct 20 members individuals who have made a difference into the Lancers indoor Wall of Fame.
