LAST GAME

The Erie SeaWolves were shutout for the ninth time this season on Saturday night, taking an 11-0 final against the Altoona Curve. It was the first time Erie had been shutout since the end of July. Resse Olson was hit for a career-high seven runs, while Erie only collected four hits. Erie loaded the bases in the first inning against Jeff Passantin, taxing the right-hander for 32 pitches in the frame, but still couldn't score. Altoona got a pair of three-inning relief outings from Noe Toribio and Oddy Nunez to hold the shutout, while Shea Murray logged a perfect ninth inning to cap the night. Reese Olson walked four batters for the third time in his four Double-A starts, and allowed three early runs in the third inning. Altoona erupted for six runs in the fifth inning against both Olson and Yaya Chentouf, and Arden Pabst ended the scoring with a two-run home run against Chentouf in the seventh inning. Brad Bass finished the night for Erie by firing 1.1 scoreless innings. The 11-run loss was Erie's largest of the year.
