Morning Skate
Home Sweet Home: The Mavericks have been strong at home through three contests at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, winning all three games and owning an aggregate score advantage of 14-4. Two of the three wins have come against divisional opponents.
Cooper Duper: Mark Cooper's two-point effort last night pushed the Mavericks to a win as the alternate captain received an assist on David Dziurzynski's game-tying goal in the second and eventually scored the overtime game-winner on a beautiful deke. Cooper, last year's Mavs scoring leader and team MVP, is once again tied for the team lead in points with eight (4g,4a) on the year.
Brick Mason: Mason McDonald has been a brick wall between the pipes in two starts, turning away 41 of 44 shots faced for a .932 SVP to go with a 1.48 GAA in a 2-0 start to the season.
Free Willie: Willie Raskob enters tonight's game with a five-game scoring streak, totaling six assists in that span.
Down But Not Out: Last night's contest was the first time this season that the Mavericks trailed after 20 minutes of play. Kansas City had been tied four times and led once.
Matchup To Watch: Utah power play against Mavs penalty kill. The Grizzlies have been deadly on the man-advantage this season, clicking at a league-best 29.4-percent clip. The Mavericks, meanwhile, own the league's 10th-ranked penalty kill at 86.4 percent. While the Grizzlies have filled the net on the man-advantage, they have also been prone to leaking shorthanded goals, allowing the second-greatest total in the ECHL with four on the year. The Mavericks have the third-highest total of shorthanded goals in the league with two on the year, coming from Rocco Carzo and Jared VanWormer.
Tonight's Promotion

The auction will take place by the home locker room tunnel at sections 102 and 103 following the conclusion of the game.
