February 27, 2018 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Belleville Senators News Release
The set-up
The Belleville Senators will complete its season series tonight against their North Division rival Binghamton Devils.
The Sens (21-32-1-3) mathematically remain alive in the playoff race but currently sit 22 points behind Utica for a playoff spot.
Binghamton (17-28-6-3) are last in the North Division and trail the Senators by three points although Belleville has played three more games.
The Devils have gone 5-5 in their last 10 games while Belleville has won just twice.
Roster notes
It's been a busy few days for the Senators as another new face will make his debut tonight for Belleville. Newly acquired Nick Moutrey will be in the line-up after Eric Selleck made his Belleville debut Saturday.
The Sens will be without Jim O'Brien and Erik Burgdoerfer who both received call-ups to Ottawa while goaltender Marcus Hogberg was reassigned to Brampton meaning either Danny Taylor or Chris Driedger will start tonight for the Sens.
Max McCormick is also with Ottawa while Kyle Flanagan, Francis Perron and Christian Jaros have yet to return for the Senators.
Previous history
Belleville is 4-3 against the Devils this season and will look to secure the season series victory tonight. The Sens are a perfect 3-0 against the Devils at the Yardmen this season and will look for the home sweep tonight.
