Published on October 29, 2021 under Western Hockey League (WHL)
Saskatoon Blades News Release
The Saskatoon Blades (7-1-1-0) and Lethbridge Hurricanes (4-3-0-0) battle in the first of four meetings this season, and first time in general since February 1st of 2020.
This is the first of two back-to-back meetings in Alberta, with Saskatoon heading east to Medicine Hat with a date with the Tigers on Saturday before heading home.
The Blades extended their winning streak to five games on Wednesday, led by Tristen Robins 2nd career hat-trick in a 6-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors at SaskTel Centre.
Saskatoon has won seven of the last eight, with the lone loss coming in overtime to the Brandon Wheat Kings on October 13th. Lethbridge has had six days off since beating the Prince Albert Raiders 5-3 last Saturday.
This is Saskatoon's first trip to Alberta since January 5th, 2020, when the Blades were edged by the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-3 at Rogers Place.
Who to Watch
Alternate captain Tristen Robins netted his first hat-trick of the season, and second of his career, on Wednesday, leading Saskatoon to a commanding 6-2 victory over Moose Jaw.
The San Jose Sharks prospect added an assist to yield his most productive night yet, and leads the entire WHL with 19 points (7G-12A).

Fellow alternate captain Kyle Crnkovic matched Robins output on Wednesday with a goal and three assists, and now sits in a tie for third in the WHL scoring race with 16 points (7G-9A).
Crnkovic has the longest scoring streak on the team with points in all nine games this season - the second longest active streak in the WHL.
Draft-eligible forward Brandon Lisowsky added another goal to his resume on Wednesday, and needs just two more to match his career-high from the 2021 Hub Season (8).
Look Ahead
It's still more than a week away, but we've had next Saturday circled on the calendar for a while.
