Tonight's Matchup: The Brandon Wheat Kings open up a weekend home and home with the Prince Albert Raiders tonight at the Art Hauser Centre. It's the first trip to the Gateway to the North since March 6th, 2020 when the Wheat Kings picked up a 3-2 OT victory. Jiri Patera made 25 saves while Ridly Greig notched the game winner just 0:29 into extra time.
Last Time Out: 3-2 L @ Calgary: The Hitmen capitalized on a couple of second period gaffs, to go ahead by a pair at the intermission. Zakhar Polshakov scored early in the third to cut the lead to one, but it was as close as the BWK would get, dropping their third straight.

NEWS & NOTES:
Going Streaking: Ridly Greig is currently riding an eight game point scoring streak (5G-5A) since returning from the Ottawa Senators. Dating back to the Hub Season, Greig has at least a point in 11 straight games. More impressively, the Captain has at least a point in 27 of his last 29 games played in the WHL.
Old Friends: Newly acquired forward Eric Pearce has been a nice addition for the Wheat Kings, registering four assists in his first four games in the black and gold. Prior to the trade to Brandon, Pearce suited up in 197 games for the Raiders. Meanwhile, Trae Johnson returns to the Art Hauser for the first time since last fall where he suited up in a handful of games with the Prince Albert Mintos before the Covid shutdown.
Career First: Zakhar Polshakov had quite the weekend. After a 20 hour flight from Amsterdam to Calgary, the Belarussian import skated in his first career WHL Game on Sunday in Calgary, and was quick to get invovled. He scored a shorthanded marker in the third period, and finished the night +1, with two shots on goal.
