Galbraith's Hat Trick And Six Points Lead Utah 7-1 Over Stockton

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (26-21-2-5) defeated the Stockton Thunder 7-1 Wednesday night at the E-Center as the Grizzlies completed the two-game in two-night series sweep of the Thunder.

Utah took a 1-0 lead 3:28 into the first period on Vlady Nikiforov's 13th goal of the year as Lance Galbraith started his team record six-point night with an assist.

The game stayed 1-0 until the second period when Utah built the lead to 4-0 and then 5-1 at the second intermission.

Utah continued the dominance in the third period with two more goals, including Tom May's 16th goal of the year with 2:21 left in regulation to cap the scoring.

Lance Galbraith led the way for Utah with three goals and three assists as he tied Ryan Kinasewich with the top scoring night in Grizzlies history. Kinasewich had six points (one goal, five assists) for Utah January 16, 2008 in a 6-3 E-Center win over Phoenix.

The line of Galbraith, Tony Romano (one goal, two assists) and Vlady Nikiforov (one goal) combined for 10 points a night after AJ Perry, Ryan Kinasewich and James Sixsmith combined for nine points.

Beau Erickson stopped 29 of 30 shots in the game to improve to 7-6 on the season.

The Grizzlies now hit the road for four-straight games starting Friday in Ontario. Face-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

Utah returns home Friday, March 12 to host Stockton again. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
