Adirondack Frostbite News Release

GLENS FALLS, NY -- The Adirondack Frostbite returned to the ice for the first time in 12 days, and erased a 3-0 deficit before falling 4-3 in a shootout to the Missouri River Otters in front of 3,851 fans on Friday at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

The game was preceded by a 40 minute remembrance of Frostbite head coach Marc Potvin, who passed away last week. Despite outshoout Missouri 17-10 in the opening 20 minutes, Adirondack found itself down 3-0 after one period.

Adirondack began its comeback eight minutes into the second period as Chris Mei followed up on a rebound and slid a shot past Kevin Reiter for his first professional goal.

The Frostbite pulled within one at 16:31 as Kevin Watters gathered in a Sylvain Cloutier pass and beat Reiter for a power-play goal.

Watters pulled the Frostbite even 3:29 into the final period, pushing the puck across the line on a goal-mouth scramble.

In the shootout, Blake Stewart scored for the River Otters on the first shot, and that was enough as no one else was able to score the rest of the way.

The Frostbite are back in action on Saturday, as they host the Danbury Trashers at 7:35 p.m. Tickets are available at the Glens Falls Civic Center Box Office, or by calling (518) 798-0202.
