
'Dogs on a tear, win fourth straight

ROANOKE, VA - Mike Oliveira scored a pair and another solid performance from Mike D'Alessandro in goal as the Richmond RiverDogs continue their winning ways as the team wins their 4th straight contest, longest of the season, in a 4-3 regulation win over the Roanoke Valley Vipers. Against the Vipers, the RiverDogs have now won three straight as the two teams do battle again tomorrow night at the Roanoke Civic Center. The RiverDogs got a pair of goals from Oliveira and two power play tallies from the sticks of Bobby Kukulka and Joey Bastien. Mike D'Alessandro stopped 36 of 39 Vipers shots on net. The RiverDogs record is now 16-20-3, 35 points and third in the Eastern Division, four points in front of the Elmira Jackals who lost tonight in Danbury.
The RiverDogs next home contest is Sunday, January 22nd when the Missouri River-Otters come to town. It will be Fox Post-game Skate with the RiverDogs. Fans are encouraged to bring their skates and join the Dogs on Richmond Coliseum ice following the contest for pictures, autographs and a whole lot of fun.
