Game Preview One of the best rivalries in all of minor league hockey gets renewed tonight, as the Kalamazoo Wings battle the Fort Wayne Komets for just the third time this season. On the year, the K-Wings are 2-0-0 against their archrivals, with both previous games being played at Wings Stadium.

The K-Wings should come into tonight's game well rested. Kalamazoo, who last played on January 14th versus Motor City, has played just two games in their last 10 days. The K-Wings are led by All-Star Tyler Rennette, who leads the team in goals (21), assists (33) and points (54).

Despite a loss in their last game, Fort Wayne Komets is heating up at the right time. Coming into tonight, Fort Wayne has won five of their last seven games. Heading into the All-Star Break, the Komets trail the Quad City Mallards by just three points for second place in the Western Division.

Starting in the All-Star Classic

Earlier this week, the UHL announced that it's starting lineup's for next Wednesday's 2006 UHL All-Star Classic. In a vote decided by the fans, the K-Wings set a UHL record by having five players (Nick Bootland, Daniel Carriere, Greg Labenski, Joel Martin and Tyler Rennette) selected to start in the game.

Racking Up the Points

The K-Wings have had a player rack up four points in a game eight times this season. Tyler Rennette, who put up four points against Motor City last Saturday, leads the K-Wings with three four-point nights.
