ANCHORAGE, AK- The Alaska Aces are pleased to announce forward Tommaso Traversa has signed a contract for the upcoming season.

Head coach Rob Murray made the announcement Thursday.

The 25 year old Traversa, a native of Torino, Italy, joins the Aces after playing 4 seasons at Division 3 Hobart College of the ECAC-W.

In 101 games at Hobart, the 5'7", 170 pound lefty shooter scored 32 goals, and assisted on 41 others for 73 points.

Traversa began his hockey career in Italy in 2006, playing in the Serie A league with Valpellice and Torino. He then played one season in the Eastern Junior Hockey League with the Bay State Breakers before heading to Hobart.

"Tommaso brings a tremendous amount of energy to the ice...a real "run-through-the-wall" type of guy", said Murray. "A dynamic player who skates well".
