
Construction Forces Aces/SMG Race to Goose Lake

ANCHORAGE, AK- Construction on the Chester Creek trail has the Alaska Aces/SMG 5k start/finish line and race moved from the Sullivan Arena to the Goose Lake trail system.
The announcement was made Thursday by race director Anna Bosco.
The race will go on as scheduled at 10:00am Sunday, Sept. 13. The start and finish area is Goose Lake Park, accessible from UAA Drive near East Northern Lights Blvd.
Parking is somewhat limited in the area so participants are encouraged to arrive early or carpool if possible.
Registration and more information is available at alaskaaces.com through Saturday.
Bib pickup and last-minute registration is from 8:30-9:30am Sunday at Goose Lake.
Registration is $45 which includes race t-shirt and Subway sandwich coupon.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Scotty Gomez Foundation, the Fisher House of Alaska and Anchorage Sports Association.
