Bryce Bellin (0-1) went five innings and gave up just one run in his first start as a Bullfrog, but it wasn't enough for a Green Bay victory as the 'Frogs' bats were silent yet again.

Bellin, a Kimberly native, gave up two hits, struck out four, and walked none in the 1-0 Mallards victory. The lone Madison run came in the third inning, when Jeff Zimmerman singled in Luis Munoz from third base.

In his first relief appearance of the season, Joel Klock replaced Bellin in the sixth. He threw three scoreless while allowing 2 hits and striking out two Mallards batters.

Trevor Foss (1-0) earned the win for Madison. He went seven innings and allowed no runs on four hits. Foss struck out eight Bullfrogs batters, including five consecutive to open the game. John Hamilton earned the save for Madison. It was his third of the season.

The Bullfrogs biggest opportunity to score was in the third inning. With one out, Mike Fischer was hit by a pitch. Nick Stein followed with a double to right field, advancing Fischer to third. However, Collin Shaw and Ransom LaLonde were retired to end the inning and the threat.

Stein, Justin Seager, Alex Abrams, and Jason McMurray earned hits for the Bullfrogs.

Zimmerman, Vince Bruno, Bobby Burns and Bryce Barsness earned hits for Madison.

The Bullfrogs will finish off the series Friday night at Warner Park in Madison. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM. Taylor Black will get his first start on the mound as a Bullfrog.
