Froese Returns to Toledo; Malka Traded to Florida

(Toledo, OH) - The NHL's Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned forward Byron Froese (FRAYZ) to Toledo from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. Toledo has traded defenseman Olivier Dame-Malka to the Florida Everblades for future considerations.

Froese has not appeared in a game since being injured on November 30. The native of Winkler, Manitoba had collected 17 points (5g, 12a) in 20 games this season with the Walleye. Malka appeared in 7 games with Toledo since being acquired by the Walleye from Bakersfield. The 22 year old had a goal and assist in those games with the Walleye.
