Stingrays Weekly: Stingrays Battle Gladiators in Key Division Contests this Weekend

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The South Carolina Stingrays hosted the Idaho Steelheads for the first time in team history and battled Orlando Solar Bears at the North Charleston Coliseum this week for a week record of 2-1-0-0.
The Steelheads visited the Coliseum Friday evening and skated away with a 4-3 victory. Forward Tyler McNeely netted two goals for the Stingrays.
Saturday marked the Stingrays' annual Pack the House Night and a sellout crowd of 10,385 witnessed an offensive explosion as the Stingrays toppled the Solar Bears 9-3. McNeely netted a season-high five points (one goal, four assists) and six other Stingrays recorded multi-point games.
The eruption continued for the Stingrays Sunday afternoon with a 5-2 win over Orlando. Forward Hunter Bishop provided two goals and McNeely added three points (one goal, two assists). The win wrapped up a season-long seven game homestand.

Goaltender Ryan Zapolski is first in the ECHL with a 1.97 goals-against average, a .927 save percentage and tied for first with three shutouts.
