Chillicothe, Ohio: After dropping the first two in the series, the Freedom knew they had to beat Chillicothe in Game three, and Mike Dennison lead the way to a 3-1 Freedom victory.
Both teams pitched well, but the Freedom staff came out on top. Mike Dennison (9-7) went seven, giving up only one run on two hits, striking out four. He lowered is ERA to 3.85. Dennison got his run support from RBI doubles by Darrin Kinsolving and Scott Martin, and Josh Sanchez finished his night 2-3 with an RBI. Curt Moenter pitched a scoreless eighth, and Ted Rowe pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up his 15th save of the season, good for second in the league.
With the win, Florence creeps to within four games with nine games remaining. The Freedom head to Ohio Valley to take on the Redcoats, while the Paints head to Richmond. The Freedom return home Wednesday, to open a three game set with the Washington Wild Things.
