
Wild Things make Frontier League history

Washington Wild Things News Release
The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, have captured the Frontier League's East Division Crown for the fourth consecutive year. No other team has ever achieved a post-season spot four consecutive times.
Washington was the first team to clinch a berth in the 2005 Frontier League Playoffs.
In its brief four year history Washington has been crowned the East Division Champion three times.
In 2002, Washington's inaugural year, the team finished the regular season with a 56-28 record. They defeated Kalamazoo in the first round of the payoffs (best of three), but fell to the Richmond Roosters three games to one in the best of five championship series.
In 2003 Washington and Chillicothe were tied for regular season victor4ies at 54. In the first round of the playoffs, however, Gateway defeated the Wild Things two games to none (best of three).,
In 2004 Washington set another Frontier League record with 62 regular season victories. The champion Wild Things, then fell to the Evansville Otters in the first round, however.
John Massarelli manages the 2005 Playoff-bound Wild Things who currently hold a 61-27 regular season record.
