Chillicothe, Ohio: Another must-win game for the Freedom occurred last night, but the Freedom came up short, losing to the Paints, 8-7.
It was a night for the offense; four Freedom players had three hit games. Darrin Kinsolving went 3-5, smacking his 15th homerun, and driving in two runs. Trevor Hall also had three hits, and he hit his 21st homerun of the season, driving in two on the night. Scott Martin went 3-5, and Scott Pickens went 3-4 with two RBI. Mickey O'Quinn (0-2) picked up the loss for the Freedom, without giving up an earned run. The Freedom chased one of the league's best pitchers from the game, John Martinez went five, but he gave up seven Freedom runs on 15 hits.
The series finale is tonight in Chillicothe, then the Freedom head to Ohio Valley to take on the Red Coats. The Freedom don't return home until Wednesday, when the First place Washington Wild Things come into town. First pitch tonight is scheduled at 7:05.
