Kalamazoo, Michigan: Perhaps the Freedom are a little homesick, game seven of a nine game roadtrip was last night in Kalamazoo against the Kings. Despite eight hits, only one went for extra bases.
Joe Holland went 2-4, and Clint Chauncey went 2-4 with two RBI. Greg Stone chipped in two RBI, and Wally Quigg, Chris Brown, Trevor Hall, and Josh Sanchez each chipped in a single. Freedom pitching gave up four homeruns, which proved devastating to the result. Luke Adkins pitched well, going seven and a third, giving up five earned runs, striking out three. Curt Moenter (2-3) picked up the loss in relief.
Game two is tonight between the two teams, and the Freedom return to Champion Window Field on Saturday, to welcome in the Windy City Thunderbolts for a three game series.
