Lafayette, Indiana: With nine games remaining, the Freedom began the night four games back from Chillicothe for the final playoff spot, and one game back of Evansville for third place, Evansville lost to Washington, but the Paints won against the Roosters.

Another pitcher's duel for the Freedom, Florence sent former major leaguer Corey Thurman to the hill. Thurman pitched a great game, he went seven innings, giving up two runs on seven hits, striking out eight, but he left with a no decision. Thurman left down 2-1. Darrin Kinsolving, who went 2-4 with an RBI double, Trevor Hall who went 2-4 with an RBI, and Josh Sanchez, who went 1-3 with an RBI, powered the Freedom offense. Mickey O'Quinn (1-2) came in for the Freedom to pitch a scoreless eighth, and he got the victory. Ted Rowe shutout Ohio Valley in the ninth, and picked up his 15th save of the season.
