
Frazier Promoted to Chicago White Sox

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE) -- OF Clint Frazier had his contract selected by the Chicago White Sox today. Frazier, 28, was signed by the Chicago White Sox organization and assigned to Charlotte on April 28. Since then, the Decatur, GA native was on a tear with the Knights. In 16 games, he hit .375 (21-for-56) with 13 runs scored, five doubles, seven home runs, 13 RBI and one stolen base. He hit two home runs in a game on two occasions with the Knights (May 4 and May 18) and added a 463-foot home run on May 6 at Gwinnett. Most recently, Frazier hit three home runs over a two-game span (May 17-18).
Frazier has appeared in the majors over parts of six seasons with the New York Yankees (2017-21) and Chicago Cubs (2022). In 247 games played, he owns a .238 batting average (177-for-744) with 104 runs scored, 44 doubles, five triples, 29 home runs, 98 RBI and eight stolen bases. He was originally selected by Cleveland in the first round (5th overall) of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft from Loganville High School (Loganville, GA).
This season, a total of 13 players have now been promoted to Chicago from Charlotte. Those players in order of their promotion to Chicago are: INF Jake Burger (April 5), RHP Jesse Scholtens (April 7), RHP Keynan Middleton (April 10), INF Lenyn Sosa (April 11 & May 4), LHP Tanner Banks (April 14), OF Adam Haseley (April 16), RHP Nick Padilla (April 18 & May 10) OF Billy Hamilton (May 2), RHP Alex Colomé (May 2), LHP Sammy Peralta (May 2), C Carlos Pérez (May 7) & OF Jake Marisnick (May 10) and OF Clint Frazier (May 21). Last season, a total of 16 players earned a promotion to the White Sox from the Charlotte Knights.
