Fransz Powers 'Birds over Captains, 3-2

The Lake County Captains jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second on an RBI single by Jose Ortega scoring Tim Montgomery. The lead did not last long, Jason Fransz blasted a solo homerun to left to tie the game at 1. Delmarva took the lead in the fifth when Paco Figueroa slapped an RBI single up the middle scoring Quincy Ascencion. After a lead off double by Arturo Rivas in the sixth, Jason Fransz delivered an RBI single extending the lead, 3-1. The Captains roared back with on in the top of the ninth and had the tying run at third with only one out. Trent Baysinger retired Trevor Crowe and Casey Cahill came on to strike out Brian Finegan to earn the save.
