
Frank Carter earns First-Team All-Arena honors

Las Vegas, NV, May 25, 2005 â The Arena Football League announced today that Las Vegas Gladiators Frank Carter was named First-Team All-Arena fullback/linebacker.
A four-year veteran of the Arena Football League, Carter (6'2", 260, MacMurray College) finished the season tied for second in the League with nine sacks despite playing in only 12 games. Defensively, Carter totaled 21.5 tackles and one fumble recovery. On offense, he carried the ball 32 times for 106 yards with five touchdowns.
Carter set a new Gladiator record by sacking New York Dragons quarterback Aaron Garcia three times in Week 3. The three sacks came on consecutive plays in the first half and he was named AFL ADT Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
At the midway point of the season, he was named the AFLWA's Defensive Player of the Mid-Year after tallying nine sacks in his first seven games. Carter missed five games in the second half of the season due to injuries.
