Moyer named second team All-Arena

Chicago Rush lineman John Moyer was named to the Arena Football League's All-Arena second team, the AFL announced today, marking the fourth-consecutive season in which Moyer has been selected first or second team All-Arena.
Moyer, the 2004 AFL Lineman of the Year, led all Rush linemen with 27.5 tackles and six sacks this season, along with recording four blocked kicks, two forced fumbles and three fumbles recovered. Offensively, Moyer caught eight passes for 38 yards and six touchdowns, while only allowing one sack all season.
"John is the anchor of our line â both offensively and defensively," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "Despite battling injuries during the second-half of the season, he continued to be one of the dominant players in the league and is very deserving of all the accolades he receives."
The Rush (9-7) begins its quest for the ArenaBowl XIX title this Sunday, May 29, when it travels to Los Angeles to take on the Western Division-champion Avengers (10-6) in an American Conference semifinal. The game, which kicks off at 2:30 p.m. central time, will be broadcast in Chicago on NBC 5 and heard on WCKG, 105.9 FM.
