New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - FOX Sports will serve as the official broadcaster for the "Final Whistle on Hate" friendly between the New England Revolution and England's Chelsea FC, a match aimed at combatting global antisemitism and discrimination. The special event will air on FS1 Wednesday, May 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET, with broadcasters John Strong, Stu Holden, and Katie Witham on-hand calling the action from Gillette Stadium.
The Final Whistle on Hate acknowledges the ongoing rise of hate crimes around the world, with the Revolution and Chelsea working together to harness the power of sport and bring people together to tackle prejudice in all forms. In addition to $1 million donations from each club's owners, all proceeds from the match are dedicated to initiatives combatting antisemitism and all hate crimes. The match's beneficiaries include the World Jewish Congress, the Tree of Life synagogue, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Holocaust Educational Trust, with more still to be named.
"We are very proud to be working with the New England Revolution to bring attention to such an important cause," said Brad Zager, Executive Producer, Executive Vice President and Head of Production & Operations for FOX Sports. "We hope that by televising the match on FS1 and utilizing our influence, we can help make a difference in battling antisemitism."
"We are thrilled to have FOX Sports on board as our partner in this important event," Revolution President Brian Bilello said. "By bringing this match to a national audience, they are helping to maximize the impact we can all have in this ongoing fight against discrimination in all its forms."
Tickets are currently available for the "Final Whistle on Hate" on Ticketmaster.com, Revolutionsoccer.net, and 1-877-GET-REVS. Special discounts on group tickets and multi-game packages are available. Dedicated sections for Chelsea supporters are available behind one of the goals and behind Chelsea's bench.
