Fourth Quarter Surge Powers Force Past Herd 117-106

Oshkosh, WI - The Sioux Falls Skyforce outscored the Wisconsin Herd by 16 points in the final frame to secure a 117-106 victory on Tuesday night to split a two-game series at Oshkosh Arena.

Miami HEAT two-way player Cole Swider led all scorers with 34 points (12-21 FGA, career-high 9-14 3PA, six assists and three steals). He netted 16 points on 5-5 3PA in the fourth quarter to help Sioux Falls (3-2) win its third game in the last four contests.

For the fourth time this season, the Force outscored their opponent to start the game, as they secured a season-high 35 points and 10 assists in the first quarter to take a 35-25 lead.

HEAT two-way player Jamal Cain posted 10 of his 19 points in the second frame, but Wisconsin (3-3) won the second period by 10 points to tie the contest at 60-apiece.

Despite shooting 50 percent from deep in the third quarter, the Herd held the Force to just 22 points in the frame to take an 87-82 lead with 12 minutes remaining.

Sioux Falls went on to outscore Wisconsin 30-10 and take a 15-point lead to the 4:13 mark of the fourth quarter, which helped close out the victory.

HEAT assignee Nikola Jovic added 17 points, five rebounds and seven assists, while Justin Champagnie chipped in 17 points and 11 rebounds to round out top scorers for the Skyforce.

Milwaukee Bucks two-way player Marques Boldin led the Herd with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while fellow two-way player Lindell Wigginton added 15 points and nine assists in the losing effort.

Sioux Falls travels to face the Windy City Bulls on Wednesday (tomorrow), with top-off slated for 7:00 PM CST from NOW Arena.
