WILMINGTON - The Delaware Blue Coats lost 106-101 to the College Park Skyhawks on Wednesday night at Chase Fieldhouse.
After trailing for the entire first half, the Skyhawks used a 16-2 run to close out the third quarter and grab their first lead of the night. The two teams were on the see-saw throughout the fourth, but a late 6-0 run from the Skyhawks sealed their victory. [Two basketball players in blue uniforms Description automatically generated] Ricky Council IV set a new season-high in points and led all scorers with 31 on an efficient 13-21 shooting. Terquavion Smith (23), David Duke Jr. (20), and Javonte Smart (15) all added double figures in scoring.
Chris Silva and Seth Lundy led the Skyhawks in points with 26 each, while Jarkel Joiner (14) and David Singleton (11) provided the team with double figures as well. Keaton Wallace recorded a double-double in addition, with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The two teams will square off again on Saturday, Nov. 25 at Chase Fieldhouse, with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
