Fourth quarter comeback fuels Warriors over Clippers

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors (3-0) remain without a loss as they defeated the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (0-2), 103-97, on Friday Night.

Agua Caliente held onto the lead for three quarters, leading by as much as 11 points, but could not hold off Santa Cruz's fourth quarter run. A three-pointer by two-way player Marcus Derrickson gave the Warriors an 83-82 lead with 7:56 to go, their first since early in the first quarter, and the team never looked back.

Derrickson led the Warriors with 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting from the field with four three-pointers.

A late effort by the Clippers, thanks to a three-pointer by Jerome Robinson, brought the deficit to 2 points with 15 seconds left in the game. Robinson, on assignment from the LA Clippers, finished the game with 19 points.

Johnathan Motley once again led the Clippers with 23 points and 16 rebounds.

The Agua Caliente Clippers hit the road for the first time this season on Sunday, Nov. 11, to face the Stockton Kings in a 1 p.m. matinee. The game will be played in Stockton Arena, in Stockton, Calif.
