Swarm Remain Unbeaten in Front of Sold out Fieldhouse

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, triumphed, 115-113, in dramatic fashion in front of a sold out crowd at the Fieldhouse at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex over the Grand Rapids Drive on Friday. Greensboro (3-0) remains undefeated while the Drive fall to 2-2.

Devonte Graham, on assignment from the Charlotte Hornets, had a game-high 38 points - 30 of which came in the second half. The Raleigh, North Carolina, native also had five rebounds, four assists and two steals in the game. The University of Kansas product is averaging 28.3 points through three games with the Swarm.

Swarm two-way players Joe Chealey (13) and JP Macura combined (12) for 25 points. Chinanu Onuaku (11 points, 14 rebounds) recorded his third double-double of the season. Cat Barber added 10 points and three steals off the bench. Rookie Tyler Nelson made his professional debut, scoring five points in 20 minutes of action.

Grand Rapids was led by Khyri Evans' 32 points, four rebounds and three assists. Also in double figures was Henry Ellenson (18), Kenneth Smith (12) and Johnny Hamilton (11). Ellenson also pulled down 12 rebounds, earning a double-double.

The Drive led at half, 62-50, behind 10 three pointers. However, the Swarm charged back in the second half, paced by Graham's eight points in the final two minutes of regulation. Trailing 110-103, Graham found his sweet spot from deep, connected on back-to-back three-point shots, bringing the Swarm within one possession. An Onuaku gave Greensboro the lead, their first of the game, and the Swarm was able to hold off the Drive in the remaining seconds of the game.

Greensboro has a back-to-back next. The Swarm head to Florida to face Lakeland Magic on Friday, November 16, before returning to the Fieldhouse on Saturday, November 17, in a rematch with the Magic at 7 p.m.
