Spokane Shock News Release

August 13, 2007 - Spokane, WA: The arenafootball2 League office announced today that four members of the 2007 Shock have been named to its All-af2 team. WR Antwone Savage and DB Rob Keefe were named first team All-af2 American Conference while C Rico Ochoa and DL Devon Parks were named second team All-af2 American Conference.

Ochoa, a five-year af2 veteran, started all 17 games this season and anchored an offensive line that allowed only 21 sacks this season.

"I'm happy to even be considered for such an award," Ochoa said, a first-time recipient of the award.

Savage smashed all of his previous best numbers with 40 touchdowns and 2,260 all-purpose yards (1,482 receiving yards and 692 kick-return yards) during the regular season. Savage was second in the league in scoring, averaging 17.6 points per game, and sixth in the league in all-purpose yards per game averaging 161.4. This is the first time Savage has been named to the All-af2 team.

With nine interceptions, Keefe led a talented secondary that combined for 20 interceptions in the regular season. He was second on the team in total tackles (81.5) and pass break-ups (19). Keefe was also named first-team All-af2 in 2006.

Despite playing in only eight games this season, Parks set a franchise record with six sacks, including one on his first play from scrimmage in a Shock uniform. Parks recorded 21 total tackles and one fumble recovery that he returned 15-yards for a touchdown.

"These four players were a special part of our team, they are obviously very talented and I'm happy to see them get the recognition they deserve."
