A four-run rally by Lake County in the fourth inning broke the game open, and the Captains went on to beat the Lexington Legends 7-2 Saturday night at Applebee's Park. Lake County took three out of four games in the series.

The Captains scored a run in the top of the first inning. Mark Thompson walked to lead off the game and moved to second on a single by Bo Greenwell. Donnie Webb was hit by a pitch to load the bases, and Thompson scored when Nate Recknagel hit into a double play.

The Captains sent nine men to the plate in the fourth. A single and two hit batsmen loaded the bases. Adam Abraham drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. After Matt Willard's single loaded the bases again, John Allman came home on a passed ball charged to catcher Federico Hernandez. Mark Thompson followed with another sacrifice fly, scoring Chris Nash from third to make the score 4-0. Donnie Webb's single scored Willard to give the Captains a five-run margin.

Jeff Hulett's RBI single put the Legends on the board in the bottom of the fourth, but Lake County scored again in the fifth when Abraham's two-out triple drove in Allman, who had singled.

Hulett doubled in the sixth, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on Chris Jackson's infield out to cut the lead to 6-2, but the Captains answered with a run in the seventh to push the lead back out to five.

Lake County starter Trey Haley (3-6) picked up the win. Jordan Lyles (5-9) was the starter and loser for Lexington. Andy Simunic had three hits in a losing cause for the Legends. Lexington remains at home to open a four-game series with the Hagerstown Suns on Sunday. First pitch is set for 2:05 p.m.
