As the Tigers would get their footing in the opening period a flurry of chances in the final five minutes and on a two on one, Andrew Basha (Calgary, AB) would set-up Brenden Lee (Seattle, WA) for his 7th of the season at 17:10 to tie the game heading to the second period.

From there the Tigers would open things up and never look back, after a relentless forecheck by Dallon Melin (Czar, AB) the veteran would set-up Shane Smith (Cessford, AB) for his 6th of the season to make it 2-1 just 1:11 into the period. The hits kept coming shortly after as Brenden Lee would answer again as he added his 8th of the season to make it 3-1 Tigers at 8:19, just 1:56 later on a Warrior power play, Brayden Boehm (Nanaimo, BC) would break in on a two on one shorthanded and rip a shot past Warriors starter Connor Ungar off the far side post and turning the red light on for the 6th time this season to make it 4-1 Medicine Hat. Boehm wasn't done yet in the second with less than five minutes to go in the period on a three on one this time for the Tigers, Boehm would beat Jackson Unger this time five hole and give the Tigers a 5-1 lead at 15:14.
