Mississippi RiverKings News Release

AMARILLO - The two-time defending CHL champion Memphis RiverKings announced today that forward Kahlil Thomas has left the team for personal reasons.

Thomas, who played in several games earlier this season for the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League, did not play in Friday's contest for the RiverKings against the Colorado Eagles. Through five games with the RiverKings this season, Thomas accrued two points (0G, 2A) and 24 penalty minutes while posting a plus/minus rating of -2.

Thomas's departure from the RiverKings leaves them with fifteen active skaters, including forward Daryl Moor, who returned to action Friday after going on bereavement leave. RiverKings forward Jonathan Gagnon was called up two days ago by St. John's of the AHL.

The RiverKings will be in action tonight at 7:10 CST as they take on the Amarillo Gorillas. Memphis's next contest will take place this Tuesday, as they travel to New Mexico to take on the Scorpions.
