Forward Cole Sanford Recalled to San Antonio

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, announced Friday that rookie forward Cole Sanford has been recalled by the team's AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. Sanford has posted seven goals and eight assists in 19 games with the Eagles this season.

Prior to turning pro, the 5-foot-9, 175-pound center enjoyed a five-year career in the Western Hockey League with the Medicine Hat Tigers and Regina Pats. The Vernon, British Columbia native collected 249 points in 260 WHL games, including 126 goals. Sanford split his final season between Medicine Hat and Regina, netting 41 goals and 29 assists, while also serving as the Tigers' captain.

The 21 year-old posted a career-high 50 goals and 45 assists during the 2014-15 campaign and generated 33 goals and 40 assists during the 2013-14 season, also earning him WHL East All-Star honors.

The Eagles return to action when they travel to Glens Falls, New York for the team's first-ever meeting with the Adirondack Thunder on Friday, December 2nd.
