TinCaps on the Field
- The TinCaps closed out June with a 15-11 record in the month. Third baseman Chris Burke led the team offensively with a .351 batting average and 3 HR, while fellow infielder Diego Goris had a team-best 16 RBI.
- Left-handed starter Max Fried was the winning pitcher for the TinCaps on Saturday at Lake County in Fort Wayne's 5-0 win. The 19-year old held the Captains scoreless over five innings as he allowed only two hits.
- Fried's roommate Zach Eflin, who's also just 19 years old, picked up his third win in his last five starts back on Thursday at Lansing. After posting a 6.06 ERA in a winless April, Eflin has lowered his ERA to 3.31 while compiling four wins.
